NBC's 'The Voice' Ratings Drop in Week 3

After two strong weeks of ratings performances, NBC?s The Voice sank in its third week after a format and time slot change.

The Voice, which improved to 12.6 million total viewers and a 5.7 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic last week for the second part of the blind auditions, sank to 10.3 million and a 4.6 at 10 p.m. for the first of its battle rounds last night.

The Voice was down 19 percent in the key demo compared to the 9-11 p.m. telecast last week. Compared to last Tuesday?s 10 p.m. hour, the Mark Burnett-produced singing competition series dropped 22 percent. Still, The Voice easily topped the night as the highest-rated program (beating Glee) on Tuesday.

The two-hour The Biggest Loser (6.8 million, 2.6) led off NBC?s primetime block, down 4 percent. NBC won the night in the demo, averaging a 3.3.

After an eventful night over at Fox, with the network canceling a slew of ?on the bubble? shows and picking up four pilots to series, its lineup performed solidly. Fox?s Glee (9.1 million, 3.6) ? marking Jesse St. James? return ? was down a notch, according to preliminary numbers, but when finals come in is expected to go up a tenth. Raising Hope (5.4 million, 2.2) and just-canceled comedy Traffic Light (3.3 million, 1.4) were both up 22 percent and 27 percent, respectively.

CBS placed second in the demo (2.8) with its slate of dramas, but was the most-watched network of the night, averaging 14.5 million. Veteran procedural NCIS (17.1 million, 3.5) and its spinoff NCIS: LA (14.8 million, 2.8) hit season lows, while the penultimate episode of sophomore drama The Good Wife (11.6 million, 2.0) dropped 17 percent.

Tying with NCIS as the night?s most-watched program, ABC?s Dancing With the Stars results show (17.1 million, 3.2), along with freshman procedural Body of Proof (10.3 million, 2.1) both saw slight boosts.

Over on the CW were originals from One Tree Hill (1.4 million, 0.6) and Hellcats (1.2 million, 0.5).
