Princeton senior Donn Cabral and sophomore Conor McCullough have been named to the final Bowerman Watch List of the year, it was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday, May 30.

Track & field's version of The Heisman, The Bowerman Watch List includes the top-10 track & field athletes in the nation. The Orange & Black have taken two of those illustrious 10 slots.

Cabral is making the list for the first time. He ran the fastest collegiate time in the steeplechase on May 18 at the USATF Oxy High Performance Meet, clocking in at 8:19.14. His time is the American college record and met the Olympic A qualifying standard. The two-time national runner-up in the steeplechase runs for the gold in the event at the NCAA Championships on June 6-9.

McCullough is making a re-appearance on the list after making his first appearance on May 2. He won the NCAA East Regional last weekend which advanced him to the national final in the hammer throw. The collegiate leader in the hammer throw with a mark of 74.01 (242-10), McCullough looks to bring home the national title on June 8 at the NCAA Championships.

Ten men?s semifinalists for The Bowerman will be announced on Monday, June 18 and three finalists will be announced on Friday, June 29. The winner of The Bowerman will be presented on December 19 in conjunction with the USTFCCCA Convention in Orlando, Fla.

About the Bowerman
The Bowerman, which debuted in 2009, is presented annually by the USTFCCCA to the most outstanding male and female collegiate track & field athletes in the nation.

Florida State?s Ngoni Makusha and Texas A&M?s Jessica Beard are the reigning winners of The Bowerman, which is named for legendary Oregon track & field and cross country coach Bill Bowerman.

Bowerman served the sport of track and field in numerous ways. His leadership in the USTFCCCA?s predecessor organization, the National Collegiate Track Coaches Association, and his contributions to NCAA track and field and the running community as a whole are among his many lasting legacies.
