Tornado Warning lifted for Mountain View County and Rocky View County

A tornado warning has ended for the counties of Mountainview and Rocky View. Meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm with potential to form a tornado. The storm is about 35 km south of Olds and is moving southeast at 25 kilometers per hour. While the tornado warning has been lifted, the storm still is likely to produce large hail, strong wind gusts, heavy rainfall. All areas affected including Water Valley, Cremona, Carstairs, Stirlingville, Airdrie, Crossfield, Bottrel and Madden are now considered in the severe thunderstorm watch area.
